  1. Follow these steps to pair the iPhone 3G with a Beats Pill 2. First you need to turn on the Beats Pill 2.0 by pressing and releasing the power button, hold the 'b' logo for 3 seconds until the LED blinks. This indicates that the Beats Pill 2.0 is in pairing mode.
  2. On the home screen of the iPhone 3G select the Settings control panel, then go to the Bluetooth menu and turn the Bluetooth option on.
  3. Underneath select Beats Pill 2 from the list of nearby devices to pair with the iPhone, it will then say "Paired" next to the name of the device.
  4. The Beats Pill 2 and the iPhone 3G are now ready to be used to play music. Tapping on the AirPlay icon in any iOS application that plays audio will bring up a list of devices where you will be able to toggle between headphones, the loudspeaker and a Beats Pill 2. When the Beats Pill speaker has been paired to the iPhone 3G the 'b' logo will glow. Next time you can turn on the Beats Pill speaker and it will automatically connect to the iPhone 3G without needing to pair again, just turn both devices on and wait for the round 'b' to light up. The Beats Pill speaker can store 8 Bluetooth devices, when you turn it on it will attempt to connect with the most recent. Holding the 'b' again for three seconds will forget the current active Bluetooth session.
