Ensure you have version 1.14 or greater of the Jabra Solemate Mini firmware, visit the official Jabra Solemate Mini support site [2] to download the latest version. You can switch off the default 'Connected' and other announcements by holding down the Volume down button when turning on the Jabra Solemate Mini until you hear 'Sound prompts off'.

  1. The following instructions describe how to pair a Samsung Galaxy S4 with the Jabra Solemate Mini. With the Jabra Solemate Mini turned on press and hold the middle Answer / End button on top of the device for 4 seconds until the Bluetooth light on the right hand side starts flashing.
  2. Wait until you hear the 'Go ahead and connect me. Use the Bluetooth setting on your phone' announcement.
  3. After entering the home screen on the Samsung touch the Apps icon found on the bottom right then scroll to the the gear icon labelled Settings.
  4. Under the connections tab make sure that the Bluetooth option is switched to on.
  5. Tap Bluetooth then choose Jabra Solemate Mini from the list of Available devices to connect to the Samsung. Shortly afterwards the Jabra Solemate Mini will appear highlighted in blue in the list of Paired devices with the words 'Connected to phone audio' written below.
  6. The Jabra Solemate Mini and the Samsung Galaxy S4 are paired and ready to be used to play music. Any application on the Samsung which plays music will play on the Jabra Solemate Mini. In future you can turn on the Jabra Solemate Mini and it will automatically connect to the Samsung Galaxy S4 without needing to pair again, just turn both devices on and wait for the "Connected" announcement.
  7. As long as you do not pair the jabra with any other devices this will continue to automatically connect to the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Learn the correct cable to use to connect a Samsung Galaxy S4 to the Jabra Solemate Mini.

  1. These instructions show you how to connect a Samsung Galaxy S4 to the Jabra Solemate Mini using a cable to play music. Firstly you will need to locate the headset jack on the top of the Samsung.
  2. With the speaker turned off locate the line in port on the Jabra Solemate Mini. This is located on the right of the speaker above the USB port.
  3. Connect the headset jack on the Samsung Galaxy S4 to the line in on the Jabra Solemate Mini port using a 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable [3].
  4. All audio from the Samsung Galaxy S4 will stop playing on the Samsung Galaxy S4 speaker and start playing on the Jabra Solemate Mini until you remove the 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable.
  5. When the line in port is used the Bluetooth facility will be disabled, you'll hear a "Bluetooth off" announcement and you'll only be able to listen to audio from a Samsung Galaxy S4.
  6. You can now play audio on the Jabra Solemate Mini from a Samsung Galaxy S4.
