Ensure you have version 1.27 or greater of the Jabra Solemate Max firmware, visit the official Jabra Solemate Max support site [1] to download the latest version. You can switch off the default 'Solemate is connected' announcements by holding down the Volume down button when turning on the Jabra Solemate Max until you hear 'Sound prompts off'.

  1. The following instructions describe how to pair the Jabra Solemate Max with any mobile phone. On the right hand side of the speaker locate the power slider, there are three settings - off, on and bluetooth. Starting from the off position move up the power switch all the way to the top and hold until the indicator light starts flashing blue and you hear the announcement "Go ahead and connect me, use the Bluetooth setting on your phone".
  2. These instructions assume your phone is capable of stream music using Bluetooth. As all mobile phones are different please visit the mobile phones page to see if your specific make and model is listed first. If your mobile phone is not on the list but supports Bluetooth A2DP streaming then select the settings or options screen on the phone, look for the Bluetooth menu and turn the Bluetooth option on.
  3. Select the Jabra Solemate Max from the list of bluetooth devices to connect to the phone.
  4. The Jabra Solemate Max and the mobile phone are now ready to be used to play music. In future you can turn on the Jabra Solemate Max and it will automatically connect to the mobile phone without needing to pair again, just turn both devices on and wait for the "Solemate is connected" announcement.
  5. As long as you do not pair the jabra with any other devices this will continue to automatically connect to the mobile phone.

  1. These instructions show you how to hook up any mobile phone to the Jabra Solemate Max using a cable to play music.
  2. First locate the headphone socket on your mobile phone. It is a small round jack on the phone which is 3.5mm wide, you may need to refer to your phone's instruction manual to find it. It is sometimes referred to as a headphone jack, 3.5mm jack or 3.5mm phone connector [2].
  3. With the speaker turned off locate the line in port on the Jabra Solemate Max. This is located on the right of the speaker between the power switch and the USB port.
  4. Connect the headphone socket on the mobile phone to the line in on the Jabra Solemate Max port using a 3.5mm stereo male to 3.5mm stereo male cable [3].
  5. Any sounds on the phone should stop playing on the phone loudspeaker and will play on the Jabra Solemate Max instead.
  6. When the line in port is used the Bluetooth facility will be disabled, you'll hear a "Bluetooth off" announcement and you'll only be able to listen to audio from any mobile phone. The Jabra Solemate Max and the mobile phone are now ready to be used to play audio.
